Fall 1994 could be seen as the first collection in "which Yohji intentionally set out to reference traditional Japanese motifs and silhouettes. The runway were full of looks that were based around layering of a kimono but they were reinterpreted in more of a modern and grunge style"(tfs) Black maxi knit dress in medium-weight wool, with flared silhouette. There are many small details in this dress and together create beautiful shape when wearing such as the cut and form at the arm, the darts and extra fabric from the shoulder down.
