Description: This is a copy of an original photograph I found this in my dad's collection of WWII mementos which I believe he received / purchased while serving on the USS Sperry AS12 at the end of the war. This photograph captures a historic moment during World War II - the formal surrender of Japan on September 2, 1945, aboard the USS Missouri in Tokyo Bay. The image shows Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz signing the Instrument of Surrender. Also, including General Douglas MacArthur, watching closely. The other officers are unknown to me.There are some fold marks. Please inspect the 2nd photo, the back, to closer see these minor imperfections. Edges and corners are in very good condition considering the age. As always, the item(s) I sell are inspected for normal damage and ware. If you have any questions please contact me. I am more interested in these items being recycled by someone that can use them and enjoy them. If you are purchasing more than one item, AND would like to combine shipping please let me know. You can always make me an offer. Please visit our eBay store for more items. https://www.ebay.com/str/theemptynesters Item(s) is in good overall pre-owned condition with signs of wear consistent with normal usage. Please refer to the pictures as I have tried to show any issues.
