The blade is in old polish, but no rust and in good condition. The temper line is wavy gunome with nie (crystal) active temper throughout the blade and has deep temper at the point. Forging grain has no forging flaws. There is no bend, no nick, no crack and cutting edge is sharp. The scabbard is very heavy metal, no dent, no crack, no bend and in good condition. The handle is tight fit, tsuka-ito wrapping is no cuts, no loose also in good condition. Tsuba and seppas are matched number 10 stamped. Lock mechanism works. It measures 25+5/8" tip to the guard, 25" cutting edge, 1+1/8" width, 5.5 mm thickness at the notch and 36+3/4" in mountings. (This sword has a rare open work Tsuba (hand guard).
