Wrought Iron Table & Chair Seville Studios JAZZ RADIO AGE Art Deco BEAU-METAL

Description: I have up for sale a simply wonderful and highly unusual c1920s Seville Studios BEAU-METAL Jazz Age Wrought / Cast Iron Art Deco style Small Table /Stand with matching chair. The set features gorgeous castings with Lightning Bolts inside of a circular section . The chair on the lower section has lyre shaped castings . This makes me think that the set could have been originally manufactured as a Tube Radio Stand and Side Chair but that is simply my take on things. I purchased it from a local auction house and the story that was told is that the set was used by a female worker at an Electric Power plant somewhere in Central Wisconsin. They said that it was the ladies work station . Whether there is any truth to this story is beyond my ability to confirm nor deny. I can not find out much of any information about SEVILLE STUDIOS other than they were located in Cleveland , Ohio and were in business from the 1920s to 30s. This is one of the more interesting pieces that I have come across in the last number of years. The story behind it related it being used as a Work Station at an old Electric Power Company but I have no way to prove or disprove any of it. No matter , its a pretty rate set and would go with any Jazz / Industrial Age decor. Remember the chair is small and the table or stand , not real large either. I don't want anyone displeased due to the fact that they weren't made aware of the size , so I am stressing this . It is part of the buyers obligation to understand what they are purchasing and I try to do the best that I can to provide all the information that I can. Please ask all questions prior to purchase. The table top and lower shelf are covered with the original covering. I do know exactly what this material is , sort of Each piece retains the original factory label . The set was produced by SEVILLE STUDIOS East 71st Street - Cleveland , Ohio - creators of BEAU-METAL art objects. This is a smaller size set . The chair stands approx 29-1/2" tall at the back /tallest part. Its approx 15" deep in all . The set tapers from 12-3/4" in the front to 10-3/4" at the back and from the floor to the top of the seat is measures approx 17" . The front feet section measures appros 13-1/2" wide . It weighs approx 20 lbs 4 oz as you see it. The seat covering has some imperfections - a few rips, worn spots ,etc. View the pics. The table weighs approx 28 lbs , stands approx 30-1/4" tall to the top surface . The top measures approx 13-3/4" x 30-1/8" . It appears to be wood covered with some sort of red covering - I am not sure of the exact material but its somewhat similar to oil cloth . It has wear , some stains , a few tears , worn through spots ,etc. View the pics to assess. Its definitely the old original covering. I can package and ship if necessary but because ebay does not have a calculator that can handle any more than one parcel , I can't use it as for the calculations as I would like. It seems that ebay is managed by people who have no idea how the platform works or what is really needed to sell on the site. What I did was , I used the calculator for the table because its larger and then added money in the Handling Fee section to cover the cost of shipping the chair. The set will require special order boxes and the proper materials which are not cheap , so keep that in mind. I have LOCAL PICKUP also selected , so if you live close enough to drive and pickup great but please message me prior to purchase so we are both on the same page. Same thing goes , if you have hauler that does the pickup for you. In both instances you will be required to provide me with the QR Code that ebay provides inside the after purchase Email that they send you.
