WONDERFUL Antique Sterling Silver Octagonal Push-Button 1923 Locket Necklace

Description: WONDERFUL antique Art Deco, designer signed, ornate sterling silver large octagonal push-button picture locket/pendant with chain. This lovely antique locket is 3 1/4” long, including the bail and tassel, by 1 11/16” wide by 1/4” deep. It hangs on a newer vintage 30” sterling silver rope chain with a lobster clasp. The octagonal locket is engraved “1923” on the front and has lovely repoussé detail around the edges. It has a pocket watch type push-button open and close button at top and a sterling silver tassel below. The back of the locket is highly polished sterling silver and is engraved with the name, “Willma”. The push-button open and close button works perfectly. The interior still has its original celluloid and sterling frames, along with a picture of a young girl. The interior is in very good condition and is stamped “Sterling” and has the maker’s figural mark. The hinge is tight with no play and this locket closes with a firm “click”. The newer chain is a very nice, 30” Italian sterling silver rope chain. The original chain was also 30” and was also a rope chain, but was damaged. This locket/pendant is in very good antique condition. It has no dents nor dings that I could find. The only issue is minor surface scratches on the silver, but nothing serious. This locket was well cared for. It has been professionally tested as solid sterling silver, as has the chain.
