The company was founded in 1897 as Porzellanfabrik Drechsel & Strobel and was taken over in 1903 by Heinrich Winterling, who renamed it Porzellanfabrik Heinrich Winterling GmbH & Co. KG. Winterling Marktleuthen Bavaria specializeded in producing coffee and tea sets, giftware, and complete dinner sets. The company employed 600 people in 1937, but it eventually went out of business in 2010. Today, Winterling Marktleuthen Bavaria porcelain items are sought-after collectibles.
