Description: VTG German Mercury Blown Glass Double Legged Clip-on Bird w/spun glass tail Xmas Tree Ornament. Going through my Grandparents Christmas ornaments and finding many old German ones, which makes sense as that was their lineage and still had relatives there. As a child I remember their large decorated tree with a village underneath. 5" L x 1.5" W x 2" H. Decent color; black beak and eyes; red, green and black feathers, No cracks. Tail where spun glass comes out has darkened and is chipped. Clip and legs have some rust. Would consider this Good shape for a vintage item that is probably close to 100 years old.
