Description: Very cool vintage 1960s lucite over metal large, bulbous, oval vase or planter with a very retro, abstract design in amber with etched, gold scrolls & flowers hand-painted horizontally across the middle. The design gives this a very 3-D look, especially in the light. It’s pretty large, and it’s the kind of vase that is widest at the middle getting a bit narrower at the bottom and top. Very nice, vintage condition, however, due to its age, there is a bit of surface wear on the hand-painted gold etchings and on the gold rim. There is a small crack inside the lucite near the bottom, but because of the abstract & 3-D design, it’s not very obvious (see last 6 photos for slight wear). This is just a very cool, MCM vase or it could be used as a planter or simply a decorative piece. The lucite and the design is fabulous! 9” H x 8.5” W (at widest part), and the vase opening is 6.5” D.
