Description: Vintage 1940s butterfly print dress with full circle skirt bottom. Beautiful shiny gold accented butterfly silkscreen/painted print. There are no tags, printing, or labels indicating who made this dress or what the material is. It feels like silk to me and it looks very much like a Shaheen butterfly print. The dress is around 80 years old so the garment is fragile. It is wearable and there are no holes, but it should be treated delicately. The condition is very good, but there are some discoloring and water type stains that are very light and blend very well with the beige color of the fabric. Please see pics for details. I have paired it with a 1970s large butterfly buckle belt with wide white elastic band, just because they look so good together.
