Description: Square lithographed (not a paper label) tin sand pail with nursery rhymes on all 4 sides, made by J. Chein & Co, measuring 4 3/8" tall (6" tall if you include the handle) x 3 1/4" at the top square (2 1/2" at the bottom square). Also includes the original bright red tin shovel that came with the sand pail, measuring 8 1/2" long. Please see my photos for the 4 different nursery rhymes that are illustrated on each side of the pail. There are a few versions of this pail and mine is with the red and blue handle. This tin and the shovel are as close to mint (unused) as you will find. No paint loss, no bending of the handle, no broken handles, no scratches, no creases. The only thing I see is two very small spots that have indentations the size of a pencil point. Rate it a 91/2+++. Same for the shovel. Still has its new tin shine and although there are a few of these on ebay, none has the original shovel and none in this near mint condition. Buy outstanding condition and it will hold its value and always be marketable.
