Description: Small Vintage Middle Eastern Marquetry Trinket Box with Hunt Scene on Horses (Some Wear) This smallish vintage lidded box is so intricate and ornate that it really is a piece of art as much as it is a useful container for holding trinkets. It comes from the Middle East and is a type of labor-intensive micro mosaic inlay called "khatamkari." This particular box depicts a hunting scene. There is some wear on the box. I have discounted the price due to the wear. The lid is not hinged. The box measures about 4" wide by 2"deep and 6" tall. One top corner has been chipped.
