Description: Vintage (70's?) B&W Print of FRED ASTAIRE at Graumans Chinese Theatre, Hollywood in 1938 ~ Glossy 8"x10" The original photograph was taken on Friday, January 4, 1938 at the Grauman's Chinese Theatre 'Forecourt (or Cement) Ceremony' in honor of Fred Astaire. Mr. Astaire has his hands and feet pressed into the cement by cement artist Jean Klossner. This 8" x 10", glossy, black and white print for sale comes from an estate collection (I will be listing more), and likely was printed in the 1960s or 1970s. On the back of the photo is a small, typewritten label reading "Fred Astaire 1938". The image has a white border, is in Excellent Condition, and is suitable for framing.Fred Astaire was, and continues to be, one of the icons of Hollywood movies. After a great career onstage, Astaire began making films in the mid 1930's, initially at R-K-O, where he was paired with Ginger Rodgers in a string of great musicals. He then moved to M-G-M in the 40's and 50's, where he headlined in almost all of his films.
