Description: This etching is an original piece capturing a picturesque view of the Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church in Berlin. The original church was built in the 1890s, but badly damaged in 1943.The damaged spire of the old church remains as a memorial hall. The new church was built in the early 1960s.Original etching on heavy paper, professionally framed.Titled and signed in pencil along the bottom margin, in German.Undated, but believed to be from the 1960s or early 1970s.Medium brown wood frame is 19 1/2 x 15 1/2 inches.The etching is 10 1/2 x 7 1/2, with double mats, under glass.Etching and framing are in excellent condition, only minor rubbing on frame edges.A photo from the 1950s, near the same viewpoint, is shown for comparison only, not included.
