Vintage Cool Deco 1941 Stromberg Carlson Model 600-H Bluetooth Now Sounds Great

Description: This is a 1941 Stromberg Carlson radio model 600-H made in Rochester NY. I think it has great deco lines and curves with the big speaker grille area and great presence. Sorry to say this one was a dirty mess needing some TLC. The original ivory paint over the black bakelite was badly chipped but no cracks or breaks. Removed all of the non working guts to make way for the new electronics. Sanded, primed and painted the entire case in ivory enamel with several coats of gloss lacquer to protect the finish. To add some additional class painted the ribbed area on the sides & front a bronze metallic. Looks real nice now. The original knobs were badly damaged so I used 3 matching the deco look now painted gold. Used a new piece of clear plexiglass over the original dial. Not a perfect dial face but original. The lines & overall shape make this a classic deco radio. I like the contrast of the ivory & bronze. Used a piece of period correct speaker cloth. Please review the pics. On the inside, I installed a new Bluetooth digital stereo hi-fi audio amplifier with 50 watts per channel in addition to a big 5" Pioneer multi range speaker. The sound quality is amazing. Yes this classic is now a real boom box. Installed the on/off/volume switch with the knob on the right. The others are fixed. DO NOT TURN. Made a new back plate. All of the electronics are hard wired and secured to the inner supports insure a long life. This is one of a kind Bluetooth stereo that is deco cool. A real conversation piece that makes a grand statement. There is a new electrical plug also. The 1941 Stromberg Carlson deco radio converted to Bluetooth measures 13" x 8" x 8" .Will look good, sound great and fit anywhere. Let know if you have any questions.
