Description: VINTAGE BATES MOTORCYCLE PILLION SEAT SADDLE HARLEY INDIAN LYCETT 1940S 1950S Vintage Bates Motor Cycle Pillion Seat #7538. Very early seat from the Bates Manufacturing Company dating from the late 1940's or very early 50's. Unsure of the actual application. Originally had a strap fitted across the front. Appears to be a copy of the British company Lycett although the Lycett's base would have been horsehair and springs. Measure 11" by 11" by 5". As found condition, the cover is very dry.
