Description: Up for sale:Vintage 70's Olivetti Lexikon 82 Electric Typewriter Case Manual Extras UK MadeEstate sale back of closet find, a classic example of Italian 1970's industrial design, comes with case and extras.The typewriter turns on when plugged in and the carriage, keys and typeball respond to keystrokes. As this typewriter was sitting in the case for a couple of three decades we are selling this unit untested as-found for parts, repair or display only! This unit should be thoroughly inspected and serviced if it is to be used as a functioning typewriter.Please see the attached video of this typewriter in action, the ribbon case looks to be poorly seated and should be replaced.Some surface scratches, plastic toning, scuffs and marks can be seen on all of the exterior surfaces, all typical of a machine close to 50 years old!Some wear, metal discoloration and oxidation can be seen on all the interior metal components, all typical of age and use. The case is in good shape with scratches and scuffs to both the exterior and interior.The original manual, typewriter paper, carbon copy paper, correction paper and ruler are all included in this listing. Please see the last few photos of all the included extras.As we place some of our items with film and television period productions (who value authentic patina, distress and age) we have left this typewriter and case in the original, as-found condition. Both the machine and case could use a thorough cleaning if they are to be used and displayed in the home.
