Vintage 1970's Dacor 1000 Feet Diver w/Patina,All SS Case,ETA 2782,Runs Fast

Description: ***********Although the movement runs strong it does run about 2 hours fast by the end of its approximate 37 hour power reserve period. Given this and considering the movement's unknown service history a complete overhaul is recommended.**********This seldom seen vintage 1970's Dacor diver has a black "T Swiss Made T" signed dial that is in lovely but not perfect condition as it shows age-related wear. The tritium on the dial and hands, which remains fully intact and has aged gracefully over time, no longer glows on the dial after being exposed to bright light while the hands do emit a quick-burst glow before dissipating. The all stainless steel bezel, which rotates bidirectionally with an appropriate amount of tension, looks great with the lume pip complementing the dial and hands beautifully. The all stainless steel case, which appears to have retained its original finish, shows minor wear with no visible signs of oxidation. The outer edge of the case back is stamped "INCABLOC - NON MAGNETIC - SWISS - ALL STAINLESS STEEL - WATERPROOF" with "DACOR" followed by "64261" stamped in the center. The inside of the case back is stamped "819." The crystal shows light scratching. The 17 jewels unadjusted Swiss "DACOR" ETA 2782 automatic movement with quickset date function is clean, runs strong albeit fast and the red date wheel rolls over at 12 am as it should. The quickset date function works flawlessly by pulling out the sharply threaded non-screwdown crown to the first position (it's a very subtle transition that takes a bit of practice to recognize) and then turning it clockwise until the desired date has been reached. After recently winding the crown 39 full revolutions the movement was running about two hours fast by the end of its approximate 37 hour power reserve period. Given this and considering the movement's unknown service history (there are several watchmaker service markings on the inside of the case back) a complete overhaul is recommended. This watch measures approximately 34 mm excluding the crown, approximately 37.5 mm including the crown and approximately 19 mm between the lugs. Case thickness, measured from the bottom of the case back to the top of the bezel, is approximately 8 mm. Including the crystal case thickness measures approximately 10 mm.Given that the movement runs fast and considering its unknown service history a complete overhaul is recommended.
