Description: This 1965 Arkansas, Louisiana & Mississippi road map was issued by the Humble Oil & Refining Company (ESSO). The legend says “October 1964” and the date code is “W1064” with a 1964 copyright. However, the envelope designates this as the 1965 edition (1st printing) and it was printed on 11/12/64. The map was published by the General Drafting Map Company and came from their archives. This map is in excellent original condition as shown in the photo. Any stamps or writing on the front cover was put there by the General Drafting Company since this map is from their archival files.I bought these maps from two guys who were in charge of donating the maps to the Newberry Library. However, one pallet of maps would not fit into the two semi-trucks filled with the donated maps. They made several attempts to contact the library to make arrangement for shipping the left over maps but got no response. So they split them up and took them home. There is a variety of maps and all are stored in dated envelopes with 1 or 2 maps in each. Most are stamped and/or dated on the cover, but a few are not. Shipping within the United States will be by USPS Ground Advantage. If you purchase multiple items, you can use the cart and request an invoice with updated shipping charges (works with some browsers only!!!). If not, I refund all excess postage paid through eBay.
