Vintage 1950’s 14K Rolex Perpetual Chronometer, Ref.1692, 18K Deployment, B&P

Description: For sale is a beautiful and rare 1950’s era Rolex 14K yellow gold Oyster Perpetual Chronometer. Included is a generic solid 18K Deployment Clasp in excellent condition weighing 12.40 grams. The original white Honeycomb dial has been professional refreshed some time in the past. Extraordinarily clean and precise job as seen in photos. Vintage Rolex Honeycomb dials are beautiful and quite rare. I have seen only one of this age. This 17 jewel automatic chronometer comes with a screw down crown and a screw down case back. The reference number is 1690/1692. Excellent cosmetic condition. An error rate of -25 seconds/day is good for a 70 year old Rolex. To add further opulence, this gorgious Rolex has Pompey lugs. Included are two authentic croc straps. The one presently on the watch is a nice black crock of long length and is 20mm at the lugs. The extra is an authentic and new, signed Rolex crock strap in dark green of standard length and 19mm at the lugs. Case diameter is 33mm (excluding crown). The crystal is in excellent condition but for a tiny and faint, hairline crack at 3:00. This vintage timepiece comes with a correct Rolex display box, outer box and papers.
