Separate the connector taking care not to damage the locking tabs. Insert the custom-fit T-connector between the separated tow plug connector and the factory connector. Make sure the connectors are fully inserted with locking tabs in place. If your vehicle has a 7-way socket connector, route the harness to the 7-way socket connector and connect. If the vehicle does not have a 7-way socket connector, mount the provided 7-way socket connector near the hitch with the mounting bracket to keep the connector secure, and route the harness and connect to the 7-way socket connector.
