Tested and guaranteed to be bakelite. It is 8 1/2" long (total) and the bakelite handle is 4" long. The metal is in EXCELLENT vintage condition with no rust/pitting....it is size 24 (2" diameter scoop). The bakelite handle is excellent with no chips, cracks, crazing or burn marks.
