Description: Rockwell silver overlay stoneware whiskey jug. The stoneware jug has been painted black over brown glaze with three silver overlay cameos of leaping or jumping stags amidst the forest of trees completed with silver stopper. There is a music box made by Sprague. It winds, but does not seem to play a tune. Stands approximately 9 1/2" tall x 4 5/8" in diameter at the base. There does not appear to be any wear to the silver. There is a minor glaze miss done in the making on the outside edge of one of the cameos and a rubbing on one cameo - not sure if it was done in the making or from use.
