Due to its rarity, this penny is highly sought after by collectors. Please note, the silver-colored streaks on this penny are due to its zinc core showing through, which is common in pressed pennies. When the penny is elongated in the machine, the pressure can push aside the thin copper coating, exposing the zinc underneath.
