Shipping Damages: Unfortunately, shipping damage and total loss is an issue among the freight industry. Even though we crate, palatalize, and use protective materials on our items, we sometimes cannot control mishandling or damages that may occur while in transit. If there is any damage, it must be indicated on the Bill of Lading that the driver gives you to sign. If you do not examine the merchandise and you still sign for it, you will NOT be able to file a claim or hold the shipper responsible. Freight companies are able to deny millions of dollars in damages because items were not inspected at the time of delivery and were not marked as "damaged" on the Bill of Lading. If your item has been crated, please expect to uncrate it and inspect it before the driver has left and before you sign for it. A driver is obligated to wait. If he or she tries to rush you or you are in any way unhappy with the delivery, ask to speak to his or her dispatcher. You may also contact us for assistance. Shipping Practices: If you are running a business out of your home, you are still classified as a residence. Freight is generally bulky and heavy. This means that it must be lowered to the ground from the truck, which is usually 3-5 feet off of the ground. If you do not have a loading dock or a forklift at your delivery site, you will need to use the truck's lift gate to lower the item to the ground. Freight companies charge a separate fee for this service so please let us know if you do or do not require a lift gate on delivery. Inside Delivery: Unless you pay for and make arrangements to have the freight company bring your item(s) inside, they will not do it. Freight deliveries are sidewalk / curbside only. You must have the tools and man power to uncrate your item and bring it inside. The driver is not required to provide any tools or assistance. If your item includes free shipping and you decide to return it for any reason, the shipping fees will be deducted from your refund. In some cases we do accept returns, but not for a claim of “Item doesn’t match the description” since we claim nothing towards the functionality.
