THREE (3) LARGE labeled Norah Wellings 12 1/2" cloth, DUTCH girl dolls, c1936

Description: This is a beautiful group of three, 1935 vintage, 12 1/2" tall, soft cloth stuffed, "DUTCH GIRL", character dolls created by Norah Wellings of England as part of a line of "Jolly Toddler", international character dolls with velveteen bodies, arms and hands with individually stitched fingers. They each have a stockinette face with lovely molded and painted features, a swivel neck and two have big blue side-glancing eyes and one has brown painted side-glancing eyes. They each wear a blue or green velveteen skirt with a cotton apron tied around their waist, velveteen shoes and cotton, "Holland", style cap. The earliest model has applied ears and what appears to be a replaced cap. Another has a two-tone velveteen scarf tied around her neck. Each is labeled on the sole of one foot: Made in England by Norah Wellings.They are in generally good condition with some light age stains, as shown with no tears, no holes or repairs and no odors as the are from a smoke free home.
