Description: Early production TD125, this is a very nice piece, I have gone through the entire turntable , if it needed service it was serviced, if it needed to be replaced it was replaced, the bearing was cleaned , checked with a micrometer and is well within specs, oiled with royal purple 0-30 high performance oil , platter spins silently and true, the speed control unit was damaged beyond repair so a new custom made speed control was installed, the controller was $350 and sourced from Sweden , new Thacker belt installed, all moving components for the belt drive were meticulously cleaned and oiled , this turntable is silent , the motor is silent and does not have the typical start up clatter they have when used extensively, motor was cleaned and oiled, the suspension was gone over and all components are in excellent condition, adjuster cups move and adjust smoothly, the speed indicator works as designed and speed is perfectly consistent when dialed in , the Plinth is a solid oak custom made plinth with a 3/4” bottom plate with isolation cones attached, relief holes are cut in bottom plate to eliminate feedback , the outer plater was polished and upper motor board painted with a automotive grade finish, if your not sure about the color custom motor board plates are available for personalized looks , “”” the tone arm is not included with the sale””” , 1 of the control knobs has some discoloration on it but there are covers available for these , Arm board is drilled for a standard 9” arm and will be included , this Thorens is ready for another 50 years of superb audiophile grade reproduction , with the proper arm it is a world class turntable and will rival turntables way beyond its price point , I have been testing it for the last 2 months for sound quality and durability and it is amazing, I am selling this turntable as is due to its vintage nature and it has been personally marked for identification purposes to avoid being scammed , there are no returns but there should be no reason one would be warranted , again, it is a 100% fully functioning turntable restored to meet or exceed original quality but is sold as a vintage piece of audio equipment and there are NO RETURNS!!!!!!
