Description: Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Erik Larson is a very talented writer, and his skills come to the fore in this riveting account of the internal workings of the Britsh Government and the Churchill Family in 1940, after the collapse of France, and throughout the Battle of Britain and the Blitz. It takes a lot of skill to write about a culture that one does not belong to, especially that of Britain, and his ability to piece together elements from both Britain and Germany into a coherent whole is quite remarkable, and also very enjoyable to read. Highly recommended. This 2020 1st Edition Hardcover is a former library book in good condition, with no internal markings apart from library stamps inside the front cover, and a dust jacket with some markings from removed library tags, enclosed in a mylar sheath.
