Eve questions Peyton's advice about when to "take a chance on love" and challenges her to a meeting to discuss the columnist's "misguided opinion" But Peyton has more to deal with than work-related deadlines and disgruntled readers and finds herself confronting her past while trying to make a new start. Peyton feels she may soon have to choose between Christine, the daughter she gave up for adoption 18 years earlier and her relationship with sportswriter, King Danville (Ted McGinley: Married with Children), who has just proposed to her. While King waits for her response, Peyton aims to reassure her daughter that nothing will ever come between them again. Although distraught over the predicament she finds herself in with her daughter and boyfriend, Peyton is intrigued by Eve and eventually becomes consumed by the woman's heartbreaking story of love, duty and ultimately regret.
