Description: The Congo and the Founding of Its Free State-Henry M Stanley-vol 1-1885. Book is in fair condition with soiling and abrasions and wear on covers, front hinge almost separated, a few loose pages in front. The interior is complete and in good condition with one small inscription as pictured. To add interest to this volume is the bookplate indicating that it was apparently deaccesioned from the crew's library of the U.S.S.
