Description: Soul of Innistrad ( From: M15 )Hand Painted Extended Art: This is a genuine Magic the Gathering card that was hand painted to extend the art. It is a one of a kind card that was altered by hand using acrylic paint. It was finished with a coat of artist's archival matte finish. The card is NM+ and unplayed. Hand painted by me, Erich, and signed on the front with a small fork like E. The paint is applied in very thin layers to keep the card as flat as possible, but still may be a little textured from the applied paint. The archival spray finish smooths it out and makes sure the acrylic paint adheres firmly and will not flake at a later date. Painting Notes: I saw Soul of Innistrad played in a Pro Tour match on Youtube and fell in love with the image. The original art is by Adam Paquette. I think many of his works for WOTC display great atmosphere and have an amazing feeling of place and time. Other Magic cards by Adam include: Spell Queller, Jace's Sanctum, Blooming Marsh, Zhur-Taa Ancient, and the very haunting image for the card Call of the Nightwing, which I think may be the most frightening image ever put on a Magic card.
