Share the magic! ******I came across a bunch of these “economy” Sidewalk Shuffle card sets in a lot of ex-dealer inventory. They came with instructions that copied the original Martin Lewis routine, and since I am pretty sure Mr. Lewis did not authorize that, I have written up and will include my own personal presentation of this classic big packet monte. The presentation taught in the instructions I provide has served me well for over three decades.I remember (as a young 13 or 14 year old magician) watching the demonstrator at Ripley's Believe it Not magic shop, Fisherman's Wharf, San Francisco -- he showed four jumbo cards very cleanly. I could see that three were obviously blank, and one was an Ace of Clubs. The Ace kept changing places with a blank card he had set aside on the table. And then, just as I started to think he must somehow have two Aces, he laid the trick's amazing climax on me. He cleanly showed that the four cards consisted of only one blank and THREE aces! After years of performing this wonderful effect just like the shop demonstrator (and as taught in the original instructions), I decided to streamline it and cut out some of the moves, as well as strengthen some of the changes. (At least, I think they are stronger, and audiences respond very well to my modified routine). In some ways, the handling is easier, but still requires practice to instantly remember the sequence so it is performed smoothly. I call my handling "Simple Sidewalk".My "Simple Sidewalk" handling uses the standard set of Sidewalk Shuffle cards. The Jumbo cards provided with my handling are okay, but lower quality than more expensive sets of Sidewalk Cards. Over time, the white faces of the cards start to "gray" a bit -- I tried to show this in the last photo, which shows cards from a set I have practiced with quite a bit. As the cards wear, they still handle fine, and can be used for performances, of course. But I recommend using these cards for practicing the routine, and use a better set of cards (available from Martin Lewis or other large magic sellers) for your performances. NOTE: the poker size Bicycle deck shown in the photo is not included, nor is it needed for the trick. It is only shown so you quickly can see that these are Jumbo cards.ALSO NOTE: the cards provided have the familiar Rider back design, but they are NOT printed by the US Playing Card Company.New and unused, with my own exclusive handling instructions. +++++++++++ ***** Yes, we will combine multiple eBay wins into a single shipment to help lower the overall shipping costs.
