Description: These unique coins were found in a pocket of my grandfather's things. His father was a traveling missionary and spent a lot of time in China. I did some internet search and found these were possibly made to honor China's past emperors. And pricing all over the place - so I am pricing them as fair as I can. I saw that some individual coins were selling on average of $5 each. It is supposed to be 12 different emperors to completr the set - but after cleaning them with Wright's Silver Polish, there is a duplicate: indicated in photos and years 1644-1661 on the coins. Another coin has a small chip in the silver exposing the metal underneath. Or the "chip" is severe tarnish. Not sure as they were so tarnished when I foubd them, they were black and could not see any design at all. Each coin has a stunning dragon on the reverse side of the emperor. My wife suggested they could be made into medalions for a necklace. Buying as is. No returns.
