Description: The Satellite Killer model rocket kit was released in 1980 by Centuri Engineering Company along with the Red-Eye as its enemy satellite. Inspired by the cold war "Star Wars" proposal, these models were a part of Centuri's "War in Space" series. Since these were done in the final days of Centuri as a separate company from Estes Industries, there were no later entries. The Semroc Retro-Repro Satellite Killer kit is updated with laser-cut fiber fins. The original foil decals are changed to waterslide for ease of use and durability. A Kevlar cord is added for a more reliable shock mount. Most of the rest of the model is faithful to the original design. Adult supervision is required during the construction and flying of model rockets. Model rocket kits are often described in terms of their "Skill Level" - a number (usually 1 through 5) which represents the difficulty involved to construct, finish, a fly the kit. A Skill Level 1 kit requires little or no experience building model rockets while a Skill Level 5 kit requires much experience and special skills. In some cases, the Skill Level that we list for a kit will not be the same as the one given by the manufacturer.
