Description: Selling an excellent seldom-used Classic "Ghetto-Blaster" the Sanyo m-w20 (photos 1-to-7) Just sitting idly on display all these years, recently given a test-drive and a bit of TLC, it suddenly came to life without much effort. Both decks play normally, the radio picks-up stations in spite of the antenna being replaced. Did not test the battery compartment but will include the optional DC power supply. Check-out other minidisc and dat listings for sale below: 1. For your consideration: Selling is a fully working extremely hard to find Aiwa LCX-md211 minidisc, cd and cassette recorder stereo mini-system with a slight learning-curves. (photos 8-to-15. $850) For starters, the tape has a minor speed wow & flutter irregularities but if a small piece of shimming is inserted slightly in the “pause” button, the sound appears normal or improved (will include the shimming but anything works really). A button or two may not respond according to commands but gets better overtime given the fact, the unit has been inactive for sometime and no manual available but very intuitive nonetheless. A compatible remote control would definitely great, unfortunately has been lost during a move. Otherwise all functions respond as anticipated. On that note, it is being sold “AS IS” described condition. The voltage is originally 230v but comes with a power-supply converter for 110-volts used. Update: The tape speed seems to improve significantly and sound normal overtime after playing cassettes a number of times. 2. A fully restored and very sought-after Sharp md-x5 minidisc, cd and radio mini-system (photos 16-to-18, $699). It boasts an array of audio hook-up capability including phono/turntable, auxiliary input and output. Sound equalization and bass enhancements. Prior to posting, the specimen featured here has been inactive for sometime and recently conducted a much needed attention to arrive in its former glory specs. Included but not limited to: New cd drive-belt installed, stubborn tact switches freshly replaced. Moreover, deoxit, lubed all electronic connections and moving parts as well as replenished pertinent solder joints to assure mechanical and continuity are in order. Detailed-clean every crevice, every line for aesthetic presentation and indeed in almost immaculate cosmetic state. Remote has been misplaced during constant moving and assumed lost but will include if found. 3. An extremely rare Denon dn-m2000r professional minidisc (photos 16-to-18, $1599) with amazing features including 5-hot starts that work like a sampler. I love this unit I own a few, but sold some, therefore only have 2 left in stock. The specimen presented here was just a back-up unit only with very low hours use. It comes with a custom road case for easy transport and protection against shocks. 3. Back-up only Denon dn-m1050r model is also available. (photo-19-to-21, $1399) Broadcast quality with balanced and unbalanced analog/digital I/Os. Like new condition and just sitting on the display shelf most of its life. User manual included. 4. Refurbished Fostex D-5 dat machine (photos 21-to-24, $795) A day in a life of a DJ, sound engineer and A/V tech for some 3 decades, It's my conviction that any linear "tape" based format, analog or digital is far more superior audio than any non-linear digital media to date. However, I'm not here to argue, but rather express my subjective endorsement and support based on personal experience. Like the analog magnetic tape, Dat is no exception. Minidisc and Dat are pretty much alive and kicking in my studio for personal and professional application. Perhaps it's time to rediscover tape and minidisc for yourself..it might change your opinion on how to capture your next master recordings. This is no longer in production and becoming a hard commodity and very sought after due to it's high quality result of any studio or live recording project and ease of use that is still relevant in digital culture of today…So grab it while it lasts! Like most vintages some superficial imperfections are almost expected but in no way impede normal functionally and will be hard pressed to find one in this state of condition. Shipping and handling may vary on location. Post Script:Ideal for serious incurable collector of all things analog, unique and in short supply with intent to build a showroom, I would consider to sell to the eligible buyer, a one in a life time find of some of the rarest extremely sought after cornucopia of Vintage, DJ, A/V and Pro gears in single Collection anywhere. Exceeding 3 decades of tracking down and literally thousands of man hours invested in refurbishing, restoring, repairing these amazing electronic wonders to accumulate such magnificent concentration of historical analog importance you've ever seen! Some are new, used and few are part of my on going passion in what I do. Nonetheless, all has given equal meticulous attention and care to arrive in the integrity they once were and will be hard pressed not to admire aesthetically. I baby all my gears more than anyone I know :-)) and pictures don't do justice but reflect what you see. There simply is too much to itemize at once as I continue to build up the inventory list and pertinent details of what's included in the sale, item condition that will be revised as it becomes available and selling price will be adjusted accordingly.
