Description: Vintage Robert Eickholt Art Glass Vase, crafted in 1991. Iridescent Gold Foil. Gorgeous 20th Century American studio art glass "volcano" vase. This blown glass vase was made in 1991 by the well-known artist, Robert Eickholt, in his studio located in Columbus, Ohio. For this vase, Eickholt has created a base of cobalt blue glass and then applied oxides to give the vase a colorful iridescent dichroic affect. He has applied gold leaf as accents to the top part of the vase. The pontil mark on the bottom has been smoothed out and polished indicating superior workmanship. The artist's signature and the date, 1991, can be found on the bottom. The vase measures approximately 5 inches in diameter at its widest point and stands approximately 4 inches tall. The opening at the top is 1-5/8 inches wide. The vase is in excellent vintage condition. There are no chips, repairs, or cracks. Would make a lovely addition to your art glass collection!
