Description: These small (3 7/8" x 3 1/4") wooden plaques were created by Wintermute Industries in the 1980s and were sold primarily at 5 and 10 cent stores like Woolworth's, McCrory's, and Murphy's. They are made of graphic illustrations in muted colors decoupaged onto real wooden plaques. A hole in the back provides a place from which to hang the plaques on a nail or picture hanger. This rustic style is very much in line with the style of that era when the "country" look was very much in vogue. This set depicts two country scenes. One is a chicken with a bow tied on him standing among flowers. The other depicts a wooden bucket filled with flowers. These would be a cute wall accent for a country-look kitchen. Very "granny core" or "country core!" The price is for the pair.
