Description: Rare matching PAIR of ANTIQUE BRASS/BRONZE C1700 DUTCH Heemskerk Candlesticks MID-DRIP TRAY. The last photo is of another pair I am also listing. These rare to find, heavy, original candlesticks were made in the Netherlands around C1680. This pair are especially well formed with a strong mid drip tray and tulip shaped candle holder. The base is a hollow shallow bell shape. The stem is beautifully knoped. A safe hand hold with the drip tray above to protect from hot dripping wax. THESE BEAUTIFUL OLD CANDLESTICKS ARE VERY HEAVILLY CAST AND THE DRIP TRAYS DIAMETER IS UNUSUALLY LARGE THESE ARE TRULY A WONDERFUL PAIR OF COLONIAL DUTCH HISTORY AND WILL HAVE AN OLD WORLD PRESENCE IN ANY ROOM. Condition...Excellent with no dents. Patina left as found. Could be cleaned up sparkling but many like it left naturally aged.
