Description: This is a unique and rare vintage collectible beer Stein with an engraved pewter lid which is dated between 1850 and 1886. It is majolica pottery and is in the shape of an oak tree trunk and has the hands formed as a branch from the tree. There are also acorns in various spots of the tree along with leaves and knots in the bark. The bottom is unfinished and is stamped with the makers mark of “3B”. The exterior is in great condition considering the apparent age of the item but there are spots that have a sheen suggesting possible repairs to the mug at some point in time. The interior is the traditional powder blue gloss glaze and for the most part has no major flaws. There is one small hairline stress mark that is shown in the pictures.
