Description: This is a fabulous signed art glass vase by Helmut Hiebl. Artist Hiebl was born in Austria where he studied glass making. In 1976 he moved to Australia and set up his studio in a remote town. His reason for leaving Europe, "Although I have created numerous pieces, they were really what other people wanted me to do. I like nature and creative art and what I produce now, I do for myself." This piece was bought in Sydney in the mid 1990s. It is lovely. The base is scalloped and has green hues. It looks like a flower shaped base. I am downsizing and cannot keep everything. This is a very special piece. Thanks for looking. Please ask any questions before purchasing.
