Description: Rare Dietz Victor Lantern Tin Tubular Oil Barn Railroad Antique Nice. Up for consideration is a restored in almost perfect condition antique lantern. The lantern has a nice Grey patina. I don't see any problems with the lantern. I just noticed on the the wire guard on the side tube has come out of the socket where it connects, it has a dent on the tube as shown in pictures. It is hard to read, on the front right side of the font it reads New York U.S.A. I bought this lantern about 25 years ago, when I got it I cleaned it with laquer thinner and 0000 steel wool. Then I sprayed it with satin clear coat. The lantern has been sitting on my mantel for the last 25 years. The metal is very solid with no rust holes. Just a super nice lantern.
