Description: Color-Blindness: Its Dangers and its Detection, by B. Joy Jeffries, M.D. (Boston: Houghton, Osgood and Company, 1879) In good condition, this scarce book has wear to the three-colored covers that includes small areas of splitting at the joint (see photos). Inside, the hinges are sound and the dark brown pastedowns clean and quite nice, with a sticker “1313”on the front. There is some foxing on the initial pages, but the rest of the text is clean - no marks or notations. Especially interesting is the color plate opposite the title page, which illustrates the method of testing for color blindness. A tissue separates that plate from the title page. An owner's name is penned on the dedication page, dated June 7th, 1879. 312 pages including bibliography and index.
