Gorman was born in 1931 and died in 2005 ... making this CONSUELO piece one of the later pieces of art he produced. Gorman was a Navajo whose "paintings are primarily of Native American women and characterized by fluid forms and vibrant colors, though he also worked in sculpture, ceramics, and stone lithography."
