This model is based on a Greenville-design that was quite popular during the mid-1940s until the mid-1970s. The car is numbered in the 1300-1799 series, which numbered 500 cars. This is one of fhe largest classes of Rock Island gondolas. These cars were frequently used for hauling heavy loads such as fabricated steel, heavy machinery and manufactured goods that weighed a lot.The model includes a weight, two styles of ends, two styles of handbrakes, non-magnetic wheels, blackened wheels, Kadee compatible coupler pockets, and AB brakes.
