Description: This is a primitive Father Christmas figure that is unmarked yet hand signed as being hand painted and purchased at an antique mall. I am not aware of brand or exact age but it appears to be painted in a chalkware style. There are a few places where the paint has been removed by age or cleaning. It is difficult to ascertain the medium on which it was painted. Seems too heavy to be wood or paper mache and has a cast iron feel but is non magnetic and there is no visible seams. Stands 5.5” tall x 1.75” wide. Weighs 4.42 ounces.
