He has also been in the forefront of promoting chess in schools in Russia and overseas. Chapter titles in this autobiography include 'Without Me the People Are Incomplete' (a quote from a short story by Andrei Platonov), 'I Become a Millionaire' and 'It Only Takes Two Weeks to Have a Man Killed' - the latter being about the problems with rising crime in some parts of Russia.
