Product DescriptionFor a small, and relatively simple TIG/Stick welding package, the inverter based PowerTIG 185 offers the beginner and the professional plenty of capability and range for many applications. It's small enough to be portable, but packs enough duty cycle to be practical for bigger jobs. The unit has no pulse, or complicated menu adjustments, and is perfect for the person that needs raw no frills AC/DC welding capability. The unit does offer control while welding aluminum with both AC Frequency and AC balance controls which help increase arc control and improve cleaning action. With the optional foot pedal, the units capabilities are expanded even further. The welder is equipped with a standard 240V NEMA 6-50 welder plug so it will fit right in with any shop that is already wired for welders and plasma cutters.
