Description: Fairly substantial Victorian silverplate syrup pitcher, 6" tall at the top of the lid finial, with bright deep floral engraving wrapping about 2/3 around, a generous handle, and lid finial that looks like the Seattle Space Needle. (Sorry, but it does). The lid operates smoothly and quietly and closes flush over the interior spout. It has a Turkish look about it, typical of Victorian interest in Asian art. Signed "Poole Silver Co. / Quadruple Plate / Taunton, Mass. / 752 ".It looks like someone years ago decided to polish it, started with the lid, then gave up. The rest has darkened fairly uniformly. Very good condition. There is a little shallow dent in the lid where, if opened fully, it bumps against the top of the handle.
