Share the magic! ****** I got my first set of Magic Age Cards when I was about 7 years old -- my dentist had a "treasure chest" of cheap toys and gags from which we kids could choose one item after our dentist appointment, and that was where I got my very first set of Number Divination Cards. (You know the one with the six cards that have numbers from 1 to 63 on them, apparently randomly, and someone thinks of a number or their age and tells you which cards their number is on, and voila, you name the number). I performed it for family and friends, magically divining which number from 1-63 was secretly chosen. But none of us really perform the old number cards trick any more, do we? Well, I perform it all the time, and fool laymen and magicians, because I use this version! Not only is this version more comprehensive, as spectator can think of any number from 1 to 100 (not just 63... which was a sort of weird cut-off point), but also because you never need to see the faces (number sides) of the cards. For those who may know this old trick, that makes this version very baffling. EFFECT: a spectator thinks of any number from one to one-hundred. They look at seven cards filled with numbers, and sort the cards into two facedown piles -- those cards with their number and those without. The magi-mentalist puts his hand over the pile of cards with the number, and then (after dramatic mentalism pause!) announces the thought-of number. Immediately repeatable if you want. "Outdone" -- this version is given the extra adjective "outdone" because the cards are secretly gimmicked so the magi never needs to see the the number side of any card as the spectator separates the cards into those with their chosen number and those without. For those familiar with the standard "not Outdone" method, there should be no way for you to know anything about the chosen number…but you do! Do it as an age divination, asking someone to think of their favorite age, either in the past or future, and that is the number they look for on the cards. They separate the cards, and put the ones without their number aside, then hold the other cards between their palms to strengthen their thoughts. Then name the age they have in mind. Can be repeated if desired. Don't continue to miss this trick! You'll use it, and you will amaze people with it! One of the great "beginners" tricks, made better in this "Outdone" version.
