Description: 4X6.25 Color card stock photograph signed in black felt tip ink in the lower margin by Pierre Mauroy. In very good condition. (1928-2013) Pierre Mauroy was a French Socialist politician who was Prime Minister of France from 1981 to 1984 under President François Mitterrand. Mauroy also served as Mayor of Lille from 1973 to 2001. At the time of his death Mauroy was the emeritus mayor of the city of Lille. He died from complications of lung cancer on 7 June 2013 at the age of 84. He is the namesake of Lille's new stadium, Stade Pierre-Mauroy. This lot came from the Jim Wiggins collection we purchased in July 2022. Jim Wiggins accumulated the most unique and valuable autograph collection over a period of 70 plus years. He obtained his collection either in person or by writing to person of fame and notoriety. Comes with a full Letter of Authenticity from Todd Mueller Authentics if the lot sells for $10 or more.
