I've used a lot of different meters over the years, including the Birdog and Super Buddy units and I like the Branded Sat Hero Signal Meters more then any others. I have made and installed a current satellite list for N. America covering satellites from 139 West to 55.5 West. Other satellites can be added by making a spread sheet in Excel and then loading into the meter. But what I really like about the meters, besides being able to run a DiSEqC 1.2 Motor and being able to Blind Scan and then being able to actually view and listen to the channels after scanning them in, is that you can add any parameters on the Fly! You don't have to go to a computer to update the meter. Instead, you can just punch in the parameters for the signal you are wanting to peak on by using the buttons on the front panel of the meter. No more having to go to manufacturers website and get updates, each and every time before you go to use the meter. With signals changing so often these days, it is so much better being able to enter what ever parameters you need on the Fly! Quality is also excellent.
